Who we are

Horvat & Partners is a leading civil engineering consultancy. We support Dutch public clients in the infrastructure sector and deliver high-quality work to meet their needs. Over the past decades, we have been involved in major Dutch infrastructure projects, such as the Afsluitdijk, the van Brienenoordbrug, and the Zuidasdok.

Our office is located in the historic city of Delft, where we work with a tight-knit team of consultants. In addition to work, we regularly organize drinks and other activities, such as an annual Christmas dinner party.

The work we do

We advise clients across the Dutch infrastructure sector, concerning their challenges in large and complex projects, on a strategic scale. Among our clients are the large commissioning parties for infrastructure works in the Netherlands; the Ministry of Infrastructure, the provinces and public entities (Rijkswaterstaat, ProRail, NS and Schiphol).

Our work encompasses the fields of railway, highway, tunnel, hydraulic and energy transition projects. The focus of our advice varies from project management, the design process, or the cost engineering aspect. We can be involved in every stage of the project, typically at pivotal moments for decision-makers. For example: by the end of the plan development phase, before realization commences. Additionally, we are multidisciplinary, ensuring our clients with the best solutions, based on our experience and vision. To do so, we keep close contact with the academic community, which helps us stay up-to-date with our field's latest trends.

Your career at Horvat & Partners

As a junior consultant, you will work on diverse projects. A project typically lasts one to three months, allowing you to see various projects yearly. You always work closely with an experienced team leader, who will show you the ins and outs of major infrastructure works.

Moreover, and unique about our office: you are involved in all aspects of our work. From acquisition to discussions with clients and presenting the final advice to the client. At Horvat & Partners, you become part of the team straight away. We think that is the best way for you to learn as much as possible, in a short amount of time.
